In the will of Wm Pritchartt he bequests that his negro slave Jilson be given to his mother for his hire & service during her life.

The Inventory lists the following:

1 Negro Woman named Hannah aged about 28 years 300.00
1 Boy named Edward aged about 6 years 75.00
1 Boy named Charley aged about 4 years 100.00
1 Negro girl named Adaline about 1 year old 100.00
1 negro slave named Jilson aged about 21 years 450.00


Sale Bill of the estate of William Pritchartt, 1831 January 1st

Negro Man Jilson purchased by David Sutton at six months credit 539.00
Negro Woman Hannah and her child Adaline purchased by Spencer Cooper at six months credit 340.00
Negro Boy Charles purchased by same at six months credit 150.00
Negro Boy Edward purchased by George Boswell at six months credit 215.00 end
