Woulard Family - MS

If anyone is interested in the Woulard family name. I am white and I have found my third half cousins. My gg grand papa who lived in State Line, Mississippi, Greene County had a black mistress and they had several children.

We met while we both were looking for Benjamin F. Woulard born 1805, North Carolina and settled in Mississippi. We exchanged information and ended back in Woulard's Bend, land that my gg grandpapa had given to Mary and their children, so they would not be considered enslaved.

We do not know if my white gg grandmother Unity, knew about his second family. But, everyone else in the family did. Story goes, he took care of both families.

If anyone is looking for the Woulard, we will be glad to help with the information we have.

Our third half cousins stay in touch and we get together in Mobile, Alabama and drive to Washington County, Alabama, then on to Greene County, Mississippi. We have already had one large gathering and plan on another one at the end of the summer.

We are always looking for Woulards black or white.
