Linda---I have another will which has slaves names.  

William Woodward, Bedford Co. TN, written Nov. 22, 1839.  He was orig. from VA, Isle of Wight Co. I think.  
He leaves Tally, Charity, Jefferson, Ben, Martha, Alexander, and Sarah to his wife Nancy.  At her death, the slaves are to be given to his children making sure that Alexander, whom he calls "my negro boy," goes to his unmarried daughter  Nancy M. Woodward.  His wife was still alive when the slaves were freed.
