... To my beloved wife, Nancy, I give...a Negro woman by the name of Sall 

... I give to my beloved daughter, Nancy the choice of my three oldest Negro girls - more than the rest of my children for her services and attention to me and her mother.

... I give and bequeath to my beloved sons, William, Daniel, John, and Henry and my beloved daughter, Nancy all the balance of my negroes to be valed to them, and them to account for them at said valuation.  It is my will for them not to be sold, but for my said sons and my daughter Nancy to divide said negroes amongst themselves, and have them valued and account for their valuation in the settlement with the rest, to make all equal.  If said negroes when so values should make more than is going to each or any, they to account and pay back to make all equal...

Henry Whitmire is a brother to Chris Whitmire of NC.
