... on petition of Elizabeth Wheeler, widow, owner of negro
man slave called and known by the name of SAUL ... it
appears to court that said SAUL hath performed divers
meritorious services of fair and good character. It is
ordered that said negro man SAUL be set free and that he be
called by the name of SAUL WHEELER forever hereafter.
