Will of John Wagner - 1837 - MD

Washington Cty., Md., (near Sharpsburg

Briefly, John Wagner had one black woman as a household
servant and she had six children - one son 5 years old and
five daughters ages 2 to 14.  He made provision that the
mother be given her freedom upon his death but because of no
husband she would not be able to care for the children.  The
children were to be given their freedom at age 30.  The will
gives the first names and birth dates of each child.
