TYUS-TN-1841

I just encountered this information today in a document from Haywood County, Tennessee, dated 23 Dec 1841.  Executors of Estate of Edwin Tyus requested three independent persons to divide the slaves owned by Edwin Tyus:

          Thomas, Rose & Roda
   To Lewis Capell's wife
          Phoeba & Boy Child
    To Mrs. Boyd, formerly Mrs. M. B. Grigg
          Sarah & Child Mary & Boy Pleasant
    To Peter H. W. Gramer's wife
          Peter & Manerva
    To Benjamin S. Tyus
          Nicholas and Green
    To Frederick W. Tyus
          David and Julia
    To Edwin H. Tyus
          Evans, Isham and William
    To Thomas W. Tyus
          Willis and Bob
    To Caroline Coachman 
          Randolph
