... Item 1 give & bequeath to my dau Sarah Timothy my Negroes YOUNG ROSE, and MARY and her child with their future issue and increase ... I give and bequeath unto my said dau Sarah during the term of her natural life, my Negro Woman SARAH woth her future ifsue and increase, but I request and earnestly desire as a Recompense for the Honesty and Fidelity of my said Negro Woman SARAH, that my said dau Sarah will suffer her to dispose of and employ herself as she may think fit, provided she will pay her every Week during her Life, the sum of dour shillings & eight pence sterling ... and immediatly on the death of said dau Sarah, then my son Benjamin Franklin Timothy ... are hereby authorized to Manumit and Set free from Bonds of Slavery the said Negro Woman SARAH ...
