On the 1st Tuesday in May next at the courthouse in Wilkes County between the hours of Ten and Three o'clock the following property:
          Five Negroes, (to wit) MILLY and her four children ELIJAH, NANCY, DAVID and SOLOMON; taken by virtue of an execution obtained on foreclosure of a mortgage as the property of Chas. Terrell, dec. at the insistence of Joel H. Terrell.

Found in this tax book are pages of "The Monitor" sandwiched between pages of the tax records. The above page, found at the end of the 1809 tax roll, is one of the few that were filmed. Research into the Inferior Court Minutes and Deed records of this time period may produce more information on Milly and her children.
