Will of Squire Stevens, Sr.

Slaves: "MARK and wife SARAH and child EMILY"
        "Negro Boy SAMPSON"
        "Old SARAH"

Old SARAH was blind and was offered to the highest bidder at the estate sale. 

No bids were offered and she was purchased by Squire Stevens, Jr. for $175.00.
Squire Stevens, Jr. also purchased "One negro boy" for $330.00. I assume this to be SAMPSON.

MARK & SARAH were willed to Elizabeth Stevens, widow of Squire.
EMILY was willed to Squire's daughter, Jane Stevens, "until she marries or leaves home".
