Jones Street Raleigh, NC 27601-2807 -------------------------------------------------- In the Name of God Amen I Seley Reaves of the County of Chatham and State of North Carolina Being in a Loe state of health, but my memory sound and intire thanks be to God for the same Do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows. First that all my just Debts be Paid. Secondly I Do give and Bequeath unto my Beloved Brother Laben Smart four young Negrows to wit by Name Moses, Elbick, ginney, and John With all the Residue of my Estate Except my Negro Woman - the Mother of the forementioned Children. I Desire she should be free - only she is to stay with her Children and my Brother Labon is to take the Charge of hir and if she should Ever have any more Children he is to have them as the for men these of leave to him his heirs and assines forever only I Desire these Negros should Not be sold but that he should keep them for his own youse and his Children after him to Also I Do hearby Constitute apoint and ordain My Beloved Brother Laban Smart Executor to this my Last Will and testament and Do Dis____ and Revoke all former Wills by me made and ____ His and this only to be my Last will and testament Witness my hand and seal March 25 1806 Test(?)
