Randall-MS-Inventory-1831 I would like to thank you for the wonderful responses I received from the list of slaves that I found while doing my research. I came across a small bit of information that I will share. It is not much but maybe it will help someone. Probate Records Amite County, Mississippi Volume 5 (864,471?) Inventory and Appraisal of the Estate of Johnson Randall, decd. 3-21-1831, Robert Longmire, Administrator (I will not go through the whole list of household goods, etc. but also listed are): 1 boy Dick, 1 boy Peter, 1 girl (no name listed), 1 boy James, and 1 woman (no name listed) It seems that these were all of the slaves he owned, maybe a woman and her children? It does not say who bought the slaves but here are the names of the people who bought other things on the list, in case the surnames might be helpful in your search: David Briant, Daniel McNeal, Isham Randall, Robert Longmire, E.D.Harris, John Cappell, John Lusk, James Faust Sr., Abraham Roberts, John Anders, Jr. and Thomas Strange.
