NC, 1852, NELSON & GREEN From the records of Walls Baptist Church, near Ellenboro, Rutherford Co., NC. The records have been microfilmed by the NC State Archives and are on Film #R.086.01021. The church was founded in 1844. The entry of minutes on 24 April 1852 was by the church clerk, J. W. Green. It follows as written on Vol I p. 23: "April 24 Met according to adjournment after prayer by Bro. B.E. Rollins opened a door for the reception of members when Louisa Davis, Selah Teal, Nancy Scoggins, Lucinda Melton came forward & gave a relation of their faith & hope in the change of heart after which the right hand of fellowship was gladly extended and Baptism ordered.
