I give unto said CAROLINE and her children HENRY & KITTY ($500).... My Negro man GEORGE (freedom and $500)....Negro woman ANN and her 3 chidden WM, ROBT. & JAMES (freedom and $500 collectively).... Negro girl MARIAH (freedom and $500)....Negro woman MARY and two children ALBERT and SALLY (freedom and $200 collectively). I want the said ALBERT and SALLY to work for their said Mother MARY until her death, also I will to the above...equally my horse Pompey and my mule Pigeon...and I further will the Negroes one year's provisions. " Also, MILES and wife MATILDA and their two children, DORATHA and ADALINE (freedom and possibly $100--wording unclear) " and I direct if the above named Negroes has to leave this state the expense of their removal shall be paid out of my estate by my executor."
