Ran McGowens' Ferry on the Upper Savannah River.

I give and bequeath to ELISABETH my dearly beloved wife and all singular my lands manages tenements moveables to by her freely to be possessed and enjoyed till death or marriage and then by virtue of this my last will and testament I give and leave the above mentioned lands tennements moveable in every poart and parcel to my son ELIJAH M MCGOWEN to his and fully possessed of them save only 
... my negro man JOE which I leave to my wife so long as she lives and to be at her disposal at her death to whom she will.
