McCOMB, SC, WILL, 1891

	I promised my good buddy Sonia Walker that I was going to get up a list of slave names from McComb/McCombs wills.. well I have finally made a start..  sorry to take so long..  I am going to list the names of the slaves and who sold to below.. I guess I need to give a little background information about Major John..
	Major John McComb was the son of Andrew McComb (died 1819) & Rebecca Foster  (who must have been a pistol.. she was always bringing court cases against her children and daughter -in-laws)..

	John was married to Catherine "Kitty" Foster, daughter of Jehu & Margaret Perrin Foster.. the only child I can prove they had was DR. John (listed Jehu at times) Foster McComb who married Annie Taggart... after the war, they along with all their children, but one, moved to Alachua/Columbia Co Florida..  This is significant because on Nov 9, 1891, a Moses L. McComb received 160 acres east of Tallahassee.. is this Moses that Kitty inherited from husband and he goes to Florida with Kitty's son DR John McComb?? This could be DR. John's son, Moses Orr McComb, I don't know for sure..
	On Jun 21, 1879, Aaron McComb receives nearly 80 acres from the General Land Office around Gainesville Florida .. In the 1880 Florida census there is an Aaron  SR (black) born in 1820 in SC.. there is a younger Aaron also listed with  him.. On May 4, 1891, Aaron receives 159 acres from the General Land Office east of Tallahassee..
	In 1891, Annie P Taggart McComb (w/o DR. John McComb) receives 159 acres east  of Tallahassee.. then in 1892 the same land is listed as belonging to the  "heirs of Jehu (John) F. McComb..
	There is also a William McComb who receives 159 acres east of Tallahassee in 1889.. I believe that he is black, but don't know the connection with the other McComb.. sure there is..

    Rebecca McComb (mother of Major John) -- Man Daniel resold to Samuel Perrin, Yellow Elsey & child Louis resold to Wm. Calhoun.
