Marshall Co., MS Probate Court April Term 1838:

John A McKendree, Robert Simpson and Basil C. Harley were appointed  appraisers of the estate of James Thompson. dec'd. Inventory included negroes Peter age 42, Sarah age 40, Jane age 26, Jack age 18 or 19, Sally age 18, George age 15, Isaac age 13, Mary age 9, Jince age 9, Anthony age 7, Lewis age 5, Adaline age 5, Mahala age 4, Ben age 2, Aaron age 9 months old, Henry age 1, and Robert age 3 months old.
