Mary Court deposition before Henry Key esq. to William Killcrease.

Some time in spring of 1788 after marriage of Wm Killcrease and Frances his wife the dau of James Lyon she was present with James Lyon and in his discourse between James Lyon and Wm Coursey her husband she heard sd Lyon say he had given unto Wm Killcrease a Negro girl yellow Betty and he was to allow Killcrease that year a share of the crop for sd Negro and further this deponent saith not.
