I mary Hill of the State of South Carolina and District of Edgefield ... I Loan to my daughter in law Margaret Hill one negroe man prince untill my Grand son Abill Hill arives at the age of twenty one years but if my said Daughter in law Margaret Hill Should marry before that time then the said Negro Prince shall be hired out by Executors hereafter to be mentioned untill my said Grand son Abell Hill arives to the age and the money answering therefrom shall be equally divided between my nine grand children (to wit) Elizabeth, Precilla, Mary, Naza, Sara, Samuel, John, William and Abell Hill... ...I give unto my daughter Susannah Kilcrease one negro woman Hannah to be taken at the appraisement ...I give unto my daughter Mary Loveless one negro boy Sandy... ... I give unto my daughter Visay Jinnings one negro Girl... The estate of Ebenezer Hill identifies some of these same people as legatees. For example, Edmond Cartledge and wife received 1/2 of the estate, equal to $270.04. The eight daughters or their marital communities each got 1/8 of the remaining half of his estate: Nancy Cox Thomas Tally and his wife Elizabeth John L Kilcrease and his wife Susan Millington Blalock and his wife James Tompkins and his wife Robert Jennings and his wife Mary Lovelass Harriet Granton *rec't dated 9 Jul 1839 recorded in Will Book "C" page 101-2 *Recorded 23 December 1822 *Obviously a discrepancy with these dates.
