I Sidney R. HARRELD of Butler County being weak in body, but sound in mind and knowing that I have not long to live, make this my last will and testament this 27th day of August 1840 as follows, to wit.

... I bequeath to my beloved wife one Negro girl named RACHEL,
... to my daughter Margaret, one Negro named LILY about ten years old, ...
