Baltimore, 1978 ==================================== p. 71 Sarah Hambleton's Will, VA, 1816 "In the name of God Amern. I, Sarah Hambleton of the County of Louisa and State of Virginia domake and publish this my last will and Testament. ... First - I give and devise to my Grandson David Richardson a negro woman named Amy and her future increase...but it is my will that his mother my daughter, Ann Richardson shall be supported by him during her natural life.. ... I give and devise to my son David Hambleton one negro woman named Dinah with the future increase .... I also lend him a negro man named Nat during his natural life and as his death, I give and devise the said negro Nat to my two grandsons Oliver Elsworth Hambleton and James Madison Hambleton...but in case either of my grandsons Oliver Elsworth Hambleton and James Madison Hambleton or both of them should die without lawful issue their part or parts so dying I give and devise to my granddaughter Polly Hambleton. ... I give and devise to my granddaughter Rebecfa Harris one negro woman named Biny .....but it is my will that she shall let her mother Jane Harris have the use of the said Negro Biny and her increase during her natural life but in the case my Granddaughter Rebecca Haris should die without lawful issue then and in that case I give and devise the said Negroe Biny with her future increase to the children of her sister Ann Johnson that maybe living at the time of such death to be divided among them share and share alike....but it is to be distinctly understood that the said children are to let their mother Ann Johnson have the use of the said negro Biny and her future increase during her natural life. ... I give and devise to my daugher Mourning Plant one negro Boy named Dick and to dispose of him at her death in any manner she may think proper. ...
