In the Will section I found the wills of GEORGE B.ELAM; WILLIAM ELAM & EDWARD ELAM - all of which containing names of slaves bequeathed to various members of the family. There is a notice which says the data may be freely used by non-commercial entities, etc. at the end of each posting. There are other wills listed but, of course, I was only interested in Elams. You would do well to visit this site. Incidentally, the Elams mentioned were not the one in which I am particularly interested (there were several different families in Charlotte County bearing the name "Elam"), but I was able to separate the various families by reading these wills.
