I, James N. Egerton, being old and infirm but of a sound
mind and memory.  All just debts to be paid.

... I give unto my beloved wife Tersula my negroes CRATON
and MARY ANN during her life or widowhood, with all my
household & kitchen furniture and the use of the houe to
live in.
... I leave my land 321 acres where I now live to my son
Benjamin F. Edgerton at $2,000.
... I leave my dtr. Malissa, little HET, JOSHUA and ELYAH at
$1,000.
... I have also given unto my son James $1800,
... and my son Thomas $1,000.
... My dtr. Sarah Whiteside $1,000.
... I have given to my dtr. Louisa King $1,000.
... To my dtr. Manerva Whiteside $1,000.
... To Martha Mills one thousand dollars in land, one negro
girl EVALINE.
... My negroes to be divided into lots and taken ot drawn.
... I allow three bed and furniture and sideboard, one
walnut table to be sold.
... Each to have a cow and calf.
... Old HET to be taken by my wife and cared for or son B.F.
during her life time.
... Land, stock, and tools, etc. on Kelly's Creek to be sold
and divided among my sons.

  I appoint my sons, James, Thomas and Benjamin Egerton my
execturos.
