"I, Barbara Dickie formerly of the County of King & Queen now residing with James Edwards in the County of King WIlliam, being of sound mind & disposing memory.....do make and ordain this my last will & Testament
... Item - I give & Beqqueath unto Marianna Dickie daughter of my brother James Dickie a negro wman by the name of Hannan and another by the name of Eve.
... Item - I give & Bequeath unto Frances Dickie another daugher of said James a young woman by the name of Philidelphia.
... Item - I give and bequeath unto William Dickie son of said James, a negro boy by the name of Beverly.
... Item - I give & Bequeath unto Anah Dickie a daughter of said James Dickie a negro girl by the name of Fenton.
... Item - I give and bequeath unto Janet Dickie daughter of said James, the following negroes, to wit, by the name of Caroline, Winny and boy Jake.
... Item - I give & bequeath unto Jennet Edwards daughter of James & Mary Dunbar Edwards...also a negro woman named Fanny & four children namely William, Eliza, Martha & Roberte.
... Item - I give & bequeath unto Barbara Edwards daughter of said James & Mary Dunbar Edwards a negro fellow by the name of Bob & woman by the name of Mary & four children namely Antony, Lucy, Henery and Jacob.
... Item - I give and bequeath unto James Butler Edwards son of sd James & Mary Dunbar, a negro fellow by the name of London.
... Item - I give & bequeath unto Anah Edwards daughter of sd James & Mary Dunbar a woman of the name of Mariah and two children namely, Susan and Parthena.
... Item - I give & bequeath unto Dunbar Edwards son of sd James & Mary Dunbar a fellow by the name of Antony & Scy (the blacksmith) I loan him upon conditions that should his mother (and my sister) Mary Dunbar Edwards wife of James Edwards be a widow, then it is my will and desire that my said sister have hold use and occupy the said fellow Scy as long as she loves and at her death I give the said Scy to Dunbar Edwards.
... Item - I give and bequeath unto Mary Edwards another daughter & the last of James & Mary D. Edwards a negro boy named Richmond and a girl Jane.
... Whereof I do hereunto sit & affix my hand and seal this seventh day of May in the yar of our Lord 1817."
