Davenport, GA, 1804, Will

Per request of Valencia King Nelson, the following information on slaves.  This info comes from the Will of James Davenport and Frances Davenport.  Specific excerpts as follows:

Will of James Davenport, Oglethorpe County, Georgia. Recorded 3 Feb 1804

	"I give my beloved wife, Frances, one negro girl, Amelia, with her future increase, with all my household and kitchen furniture to her, her heirs and assigns forever.

	Secondly, I give my son John Davenport, one negro boy, Carr, to him, his heirs and assigns forever."
