Mehetabel Dabney's Will, VA, 1835

DABNEY, Mehetable.
" I Mehetabel Dabney of County of Henrico and State of Virginia, do make this my last will and testament....
... The negroes also to be divided and an equal distribution made of them, with the priviledge to Lucy Jackson of chusing to which of my chlidren she wishes to belong.
... I give also my servant Judith to my daugher Sarah.
... I leave to my daughter Martha and Lucy my old woman Clarinda to be taken care of as long as she lives and hope they will not be unmindful of her comfort."

At a Court of Hustings held for the City of RIchmond at the Courthouse on the 25th day of September 1835.   This last will and testament of Mehetabel Dabney  late of the City of Richmond deceased was proved....and ordered to be recorded.
