Combs regr. of Wills for St. Mary's County Filed 8th March 1842 This Mildred Combs above was the daughter Ignatius Combs and Mary Fenwick. Her Father and Mother's will have been posted recently. I might mention that Mildred Combs Father apparently died in 1790, and mentioned in his will that Mildred Combs and brother Cornelius Combs were not yet 21 years of age. and Mildred Combs mother died in 1808. Since Cornelius Combs was still living when Mildred Combs died about 1842 we can therefore assume that both Mildred Combs and her brother Cornelius were born after 1770. Cornelius Combs made out his will April 1859 Wills Liber JTMR 1 Page 143. ... I will get this will at another visit to Salt Lake Library. Therefore we know Mildred Combs was not any older than 72 years of age at time of death. Her brother Cornelius Combs born after 1770 and died in 1852 was not any older than 82 years of age at time of his death. Mildred Combs daughter of Ignatius Combs and Mary Fenwick apparently never married. Her Father Ignatius Combs was the son of Enoch Combs who died 1755. Enoch Combs being the son of William Combs born 1662 or 1672 and who died 1742. William Combs being the son of Enoch Combs Sr. And Barbara________. Enoch Combs Sr. Perhaps when someone directly related becomes a member of our list we can define their birthdates more closely. At least we have a range to approximate from and they could be off anywhere between 1 -15 years. Pay also close attention that she made out her will some 20 years before her death. Jerry L.
