Dell to Clark-FL-1837

This is from an old record book from Alachua County, Florida before Florida became a state.  The title of the Record Book (Just in case anyone wants a copy of the actual record from the Official Records Office of Alachua County) Ancient Records 1828-1848.  Buddy Irby Clerk of the Court of Alachua County is trading me copies of the records for copies of the transcripts of the records.

Know all men by these presents that I Benett M. Dell of Alachua County in the Territory of Florida for and in consideration of the sum of Eleven hundred dollars to me in hand paid by Jane Ann Clark wife of Asa Clark of the County aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents this Alienat whereof I do hereby Acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Jane Ann Clark and her children by the said Asa Clark begotten or to be hereafter begotten and their heirs ...

... One Negro woman named SARAH aged about twenty five years,
... one negro boy named FRANK aged about eight years
... and one female infant child a daughter of the said SARAH aged about six month.

To have and to hold the above mentioned negro slaves together with their increase to the said Jane Ann Clark during her life and after her death to her children aforesaid begotten or to be begotten of her said husband Asa Clark and their heirs Executors & assigns
     And I the said Benett M. Dell for myself my heirs Executors administrators and assigns against myself my heirs executors and administrators and against all and every other person and persons whomsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents
     In Witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my Seal this twelfth day of August A.D. one thousand Eight hundred and thirty seven
