In the name of God Amen, I Elizabeth BOWLES of Goochland VA., do make and ordain this my lastwill and testament in manner and form following, to witt:

Wills and bequeaths to sister Nancy, two female slaves Jenney and Barbara with their future increase and one feather bed.

I give and bequeath to Fredrick W.SMITH
... four negros to witt: BARNET, JOHN, BEN and JIM.

Item; I wish and desire that
... my negro woman, MARY, will be sold to some person whom she may choose---to raise $300.00.

Item: I give and bequeath to my three neices, Charity, Nancy and Virginia, daughters of sister Mary MALLORY, 100 dollars each of amount from sale of said slave.

Item; I bequeath all my interest which I may have
... in four negro slaves and my interest in the tract of land to Anderson, Augustus and Davy BOWLES, sons of my brother Anderson BOWLES, to be equally divided among them.

All the rest and residue of my stock of every kind I bequeath to Sister Nancy BOWLES and Fredrick W.SMITH to be equally divided among the.

Lastly I appoint my friends Fredrick SMITH and Wm.HUGHES my executors---this last day of February, 1840. Elizabeth x Bowles
