Got this from an abstract of deeds book I have for Edgefield County, South Carolina.

Stephen Bettis admr to his brother Mathew Bettis 11 April 1796 P/A to negotiate in Green County , GA, suit against George Dawson for recovery of negro boy Toney belonging to estate of John Bettis decd.
