CHARLES BARTON, a negro man came into court and represented that he had been manumated by his late master John Adair by deed dated 16 July 1805, which deed was ordered to record August term 1805, and that he had been subjected to suspicion from said deed not having described his person.
Therefore ordered that it be certified and recorded that the said CHARLES BARTON is of yellowish complexion, 5'8 1/4" high and about 34 years of age, without mark or remarkable scar due proof having been made.
