Document is a certified return of commissioners appointed to carry out a writ of partition for the slaves of the estate of R. Russell Ash. Return lists the names of slaves and their value, divided into nine groups and alloted to John Richardson, John Fraser, William Fraser, George Fraser, Miss Harriet Fraser, Alexander Fraser, Dr Henry Richardson, Miss Caroline Fraser, and Richard A. Fraser.

R. Russell Ash is probably Richard Russell Ash, son of St. Paul's Parish, S.C. plantation owner Cato Ash (d. ca. 1757).
