Know all persons whom these presents may concern that I WILLIAM ADAMS of the County and Commonwealth aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS secured to be paid to me by HENRY DAVIDAGE of the County of Ohio and commonwealth aforesaid have bargained and sold to the said HENRY and by these presents, doth bargain, sell, assign, transfer and make over to him, his heirs and assigns forever a Negro girl named CATE, or KITTY aged a bouty twenty years and have this day delivered the said girl to be sound healthy and free from any disease and also that I said WILLIAM hath a good title to the said girl at this date in witness whereof I have unto signed and delivered

The within bill of sale with the reciept of fifty dollars therein endorsed was this day acknowledged by the within named WILLIAM ADAMS to be his sct and deed for the purposes therein named where upon both were admitted to record and recorded accordingly
