In the Saturday morning "Online African American Research" Workshop conducted by yours truly, B.J. Smothers. There were about 50 participants--double what I expected.

The other side of the room. As an exercise, we posted a message to the AfriGeneas Main Forum at the beginning of the workshop and checked back at the end of the session. Yolanda Mitchell-Sheets had responded to our post within 20 minutes, demonstrating the power of the AfriGeneas forums better than my words ever could.
Tony Burroughs enjoying a lighter moment. This photo was taken at his Saturday workshop "Methods & Sources of Identifying Slave Owners."
R&R and getting my foto taken for a change.
Tony Burroughs and SC Genealogical Society President John Andrews posing and reflecting on a successful and enjoyable weekend.
AAHGS--especially Atlanta--was well-represented.
Scott Wilds at the "Identifying Slave Owners" workshop. Scott and I are both working on lines that migrated from Darlington County, SC to Dallas County, AL.
Gotcha! Finally caught up with Renee Brown-Bryant!
