Woodruff, Elizabeth Jean- NJ- 1958

My deceased mother, Elizabeth Jean Woodruff. The photograph is dated circa 1958. She was born January 1, 1941-May 28, 2005. She was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey and attended and graduated from Arts High School (1959) and Essex County College (1974). She was among the first adolescent African American females to have been inducted into the National Auditions for Pianist Association in 1954 in Newark. She was a Biblical scholar and minister. Loving, kind, and caring mother.
I appreciate your efforts to preserve the memory of African American families and their histories.
