I am brand new to this discipline so any help is greatly appreciated. I am currently trying to run down information on my Mother's line and possible Black/Indian lineage. My Grandmother's maiden name was HUGHES and she was born in 1906 in Louisa county Louisa virginia. Both my Mother and Grandmother are dead and I have very little to go on other than what I have described. My Grandfather's names were BANKS & WADDY my other Grandmother was a TOWNSEND.I -have seen the surnames BANKS HUGHES and TOWNSEND on the 5 nation surname lists but not WADDY. I apologize for going on & on but I am very excited about this and am hot-to-trot on this family thing. Thank you in advance for whatever you can help me with.
