I have been researching the Grayson freedmen also. My grandmother great grandparents great-great grandparents and several other ancestors were surnamed Grayson. Some of my grandparents were owned by Katie Robert and Watt Grayson according to the Dawes applications. The book "George Washington Grayson" mentioned that one of Robert Grayson's daughters married a black man and their children were Annie and John. How did you discover that it was Katie? It also mentioned that one of the sons married a black woman and raised a large family. How did you discover that it was William?
