I think you must consider the fact that in GA( and many of the other Southern States) DID NOT register marriages between 'Indian' and whites or blacks. There are exceptions of course but on the whole you would not have found a marriage if they were obviously Indian. Georgia recognized these marriages but more in the manner of common law rather than as legal.
