I know that the Locklayers are also related to the Locklears which is a name of many tri-racial people---African, Native American and European. The name also appears in the article by Dr. Virginia DeMarce among the list of tri-racial people. The article was published in the March 1992 issue of the NGS Genealogy Quarterly.
