Jack BROWN is listed on the Cherokee Freedmen Dawes Rolls. On the 1890 Census he is listed as being an Adoptive Colored his owner being a "Sequoyah Brown". Jack Brown married a Katie Fields. Sequoyah Brown's wife was Sarah McCoy. Oklahoma is the state of documentation although I suspect Jack Brown came into Indian Territory from the State of Kansas. Anyone having information is encouraged to respond.
