You folks have some up hill battles ahead of you. My family is cherokee but we can not even get recognized by any one. We love in the old nation. As far a freedmen goes i think that the problem is this that the indians want to keep there nature pure and not meaning any disrespect they have failed to take into account that the freeman are also a people even if a different people. All people should be allowed to have basic things like respect in the case of what i have read the respect is due and just for the freedmen. They as a people should be allowed to co-exist and to have lands of there own and the same rights as the indians. Remember we are all humans first. Love one another. God bless you all
