Looking for info: George Moppin- possibly freedman in Oklahoma-Arkansas area in late 1880's. Court case in Ft.Smith Ar shows he was tried for crime of "liquor" selling without paying tax found not guilty.
I believe he was my great grandfather.
If true he was originally living in Owen County KY- married Emma Sanders Moppin in 1881.
Two children: Frank and Georgia Moppin.
