If you are also a person of African/Native
American descendants if you are familiar with
or know how to get into contact with members
of the Cherokee Nation who are likewise and/or
knowledgeable about our peoples' history as
members of those bands particularly those with
family roots around the area of Boone North
Carolina then this is the question I'd like
you to please pass along to them:

My grandad David Thompson was obviously a
descendant of native ancestors...He was tall
with mixed Negro/Native features i. e.
he had dark RED rather than dark brown skin
et al...

He was married to a mulatto woman Nettie...

And one guesses that the piece of land
my family still has the title for half
way up that mountainside above the town
of Boone came directly or indirectly
because of his native family ties...

Any information you could provide me would
be greatly appreciated...
