In my own personal view your question cant be answered. We are not all black we don't all look alike not all of us share the same experience.
But what we do share is a common wish to see a wrong righted.I don't have to be part of a tribe to feel native I am native.My native history belongs to me it is not owned or controlled by anyone.My African ancestors are part of me also I am a whole person.
But if you think it is alright to discriminate against freedman descendants understand that in my case you are also discriminating against native American descendant's also. Lighten up a little every motive for doing something isn't always for monetary gain it might be just the right thing to do.
