Re: Grayson Family
In Response To: Grayson Family ()
Katherine (Katy Grayson/Grierson) daughter of Sinogee (Creek Indian Woman of the Spanalgee Family) and Robert Grayson/Grierson (Scots Trader) -- is my gr-gr-grandmother. Her husband was Tulwa Tustanuggee (Johnie Benson)a Creek Indian Red Stick Warrior of the Creek Nation. Neither of them had negro blood. One of Robert Grayson's daughters, and one of his sons, did marry negroes. Which 2 I do not know for sure -- I have heard that William married a negro woman. Also, Watta Grayson stands for Walter Grayson -- brother to Katy & William. William and his wife lived in the Poteau Valley in the Indian Territory of Oklahoma, later on.
