Benjamin James was an American agent to the Choctaws during the marriage of his daughter Susan. Susan James married Maj. James Colbert after 1790(son of James "Logan" Colbert). I am looking for the location of Benjamin James before coming to the Choctaw Nation. I have located one possibility: Benjamin James is on the 1790 New Garden Township Chester County Pa census. Help in confirming or disproving this Benjamin James is needed.
