Black Union Soldiers from Indian Territory

There were 3 Union regiments organized in Kansas consisting of Black and Indian soldiers from Indian Territory. These were:

1st Regiment Indian Home Guards
2nd Regiment Indian Home Guards
3rd Regiment Indian Home Guards

There were many black soldiers who served with these units. The history of these regiments can be found at:
