Trying to trace my grandfather's family (Redman). They lived in Virginia (the Culpeper Warrenton area). My understanding is that the family was of Native American descent (listed as mulattos on the 1870 census). Indian blood rumored to be Cherokee. Also African American and Chinese. Any information you can provide concerning tracking this Arthur Redman line would be helpful. Thank you.
