Where can I get a copy of the Treaty of 1866 the adoption of the Freedman in the Five Civilization Tribes. Seems to me if we are adopted we should be looked after just like in any other adoption. Angela will you look for William Sanders b. 1859 Wash DC. Also for Linda Cow Tom & Amy Nungay Amy was a slave of Opothle Yahola. Does any one know a genealogist who does looks for the District of Columbia in year 1859. I have not seen a genealogist for DC 1859. I also need his parents who were in Maryland at the time.
