Note that in Louisiana there were some people who did have Choctaw ancestry who were known as the Jena Choctaws. They were a small band of Choctaws who during the relocation of the Choctaw Nation in the 1830's got as far as a certain part of Louisiana and did not go as far as Indian Territory. I shall look at my notes to see if I can find a reference number for you on how to look up the records of these people.
